Redefining the word "Custom"…

Tournament Signs and Trophies, Tee Markers and Range Yardage Signs!

Here’s a few of the things we finished off this week.

First, we ended up with some pretty sick trophies for Wykagyl Country Club.  They have one of the most elaborate logos we’ve ever dealt with, and they helped us come up with a unique 3D presentation of it.

Multi-layer trophies give a 3D look! Lots of detail in Wykagyl's elaborate logo.

Another tournament accessory is this sign for Greenwich Country Club.  It has stakes to secure it into the ground.  The top swivels like a music stand, and the plexiglass protects two sheets of paper – one to announce tournament pairings, and the other to list starting hole assignments.  This is a great looking accessory that should help speed up pre-tournament setup.

Here’s a couple sets of tee markers.  One with the fishscaled aluminum look for Sandia Golf Club, and a set that just came off the waterjet for the Philadelphia PGA.

Finally, we have this unique range yardage sign for the Vintage Club.  They provided a map of their practice range and we created this multi-layered ‘map’ of it.  The greens are coated in chalkboard paint, and they will be able to record the day’s yardages at each location.  The backside has a plexiglass protection for them to insert poster-sized announcements and banners.

Trophies, Tee Markers, and Signage

Just wanted to show a few pictures of some of the things going out the door this week…

First up, we finished a pile of trophies for Anthem’s Member Guest – The Duel in the Desert. These have a new ‘wrap’ design we’ve done, and then the top plate is hand painted. The two champion trophies have hand-sculpted and hand painted cactuses, also. The copper color on these, is one of my favorites. These turned out amazing!

Doral Resort saw some of the sample ‘casino’ style tee markers we did, and decided they’d be perfect for a tournament event they were hosting.  Here are the brushed aluminum tournament set we are doing for them.

Eagle Springs needed a few more of their tee markers.  These are still one of my favorites.

We did this great hanging sign for the Golf Shop at Huntingdon Valley, what a unique logo!

We also built a couple of these A-frame style signs for Royal Oaks.  They have a set of numbers that slides into the sleeve, so the Pro can indicate what time the range is closing today. These are double-sided so they can easily be seen from any angle.

Finally, we had a set of proximity markers for Kennett Square.  They went with the brushed aluminum cards, which is a great look, and saves money over the powdercoated version.

Tournament Awards and On-course signage…

Here are a few of the things we have in the shop this week.

First up are some awards we did for Sterling Bank. This is the second year that they’ve had us build award plaques and trophies for their customer appreciation program.

Then we did a another bunch of signage for La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs.   This time it was for their concession stand/snack bar area.  Signs include directional signs to the stand, waterproof menu cases (one that hangs on the wall, and one that mounts on a pole which they’ll have on the tee box of the 9th hole), and a large sign for the stand itself.

We did a set of proximity markers and matching Closest to the Pin signs for Wingpoint on the Washington coast.

The Meadow Club ordered another set of trophies for this years Meadowlark Invitational Golf Tournament.  This is definitely one of my favorite trophies that we’ve done.

We’re working on some tournament cases and scorecard boxes for Trump National.  Will have some final pictures of them next week.

Happy New Year!

A little bit of a quiet week this week while everyone relaxes for the holidays. Which is good because we have a ton of new stuff lined up starting in January – it’s going to be a very busy first quarter.

Here are a couple signs we did for PGA West. Their custom signage, which features their 4 color logo looks great around the golf course. We also did some logos which will hang on either the starter’s podium or at the restaurant in the clubhouse.

Here are a couple bag drop and valet signs for Silver Rock Resort. The metallic silver finish looks amazing.

Finally, Berkeley Hall asked us to design a couple methods for storage and easy transportation of their new Proximity Markers and KP Tee signs. The KP sign case can easily be carried with you out onto the golf course as you’re setting up for your tournament. The Proximity Marker storage unit will keep your closest to the pin signs safe and secure between events!

Here’s what’s going on around the shop this week…

Just wanted to show a few of the things we have working in the shop right now.

First up, we’re remaking an order for Berkeley Hall. UPS suffered a train derailment during the one batch of bad weather we’ve had so far this year, and their entire shipment was destroyed! We got everything put back together, and it made it nice that I could snap a couple pictures, because they had some pretty good stuff.

They did some tournament signs – several that said “Closest to the Pin” and some that just said “Special Event”. These will sit on the tee box, and alert tourney participants that there is something special going on that hole.

Here’s a picture of their proximity marker which works hand and hand with the signs. They can use the proximity marker to show the position, and record the name of, the current closest ball.

Here’s a picture of a couple large sand and seed boxes that we are building for PGA West. These are on their way over for powdercoating, we’ll get an after pic when they come back. The entire top lid is hinged and opens up to make it easy for the grounds crew to fill the box, but then there is a smaller lid for easy guest access.

Here are some cart path directional signs we are doing for Southern Dunes.

Here’s a brushed aluminum hole in one trophy that we did for a member at Hayden. It’s a great way to display the lucky ball, and record the pertinent information about the event. Congratulations, Jonah Anderson, on your hole in one!
