Trophy Season at RHI Golf

April 29, 2025 by Joy Ball

The 2025 Trophy Season is kicking into high gear. We are slaying those June deadlines already with early deliveries. Our customers lead the designs and the trophies are just as unique as the clubs.

1st trophy up is the VW Bus awards that we made for Crystal Coast Country Club. We used ‘disco aqua’ for the sparkly finish on the bus. These are such fun awards!

The logo for Spanish trails is a ring of halberd axe heads. We ran with that theme with these axe awards.

We worked with The Crosby Club on their Clam Bake and Par 3 Awards.

Each year we work with the American Junior Golf Association and Taylormade for their awards.

That is all for this week for awards. We also make tournament cases, proximity markers and tournament tee markers to make your events extra special.

RHI Golf Course Supplies

January 3, 2025 by Joy Ball

December was record shattering month with sales. If you need custom accessories for Spring or Summer, don’t wait any longer, contact us to get your club on the production schedule! We won’t be at the 2025 PGA Show in Orlando this month, but appointments are available to discuss your project on the phone or zoom.

For Chechessee Creek Club made metal bag stands for their driving range and then club stands and ball bowls for the putting course.

This is the tripod club stand that we make out of vineyard metal logo. If you look closely, you’ll see the fine detail and texture to it. I love how unique these look.

For tee markers we made ones for the Pacific Northwest Golf Association with our metal printer. We printed directly onto the aluminum and that’s how we could include the fine detail of the flags on it.

We had the great opportunity and pleasure to work Trilogy on their butterfly tee box markers as well as create all new driving range furniture.

Each year we love working with Desert Mountain’s tournament director on creating new awards for their members to win. This one is ‘The Rattler’.

Havre de Grace High School gives these awards out every January for their event called the ‘Tomahawks Duel’.

University of Arizona did their NIT trophies.

The other tournament supply that we made the other week is a tournament case for The Club at Old Hawthorn.

We also made broken tee boxes for Killearn Club and Winged Foot.

Last to show is one of the wine barrel targets that we made for a private course.

Updating your range in 2020

June 30, 2020 by Joy Ball

Start with what’s essential when updating your range or course accessories…

The Summer of 2020 might not be the time that your club is wanting to update the entire driving range, especially if you are in the North or East Coast. But you still need things… COVID-19 did not change the fact that your recycled plastic bag stands aren’t holding up to the weather and need to be replaced badly…
It’s a good idea to write down EVERYTHING that needs to be updated on the course and the range on a piece of paper. Then prioritize it and write a new list for 2020 with the ‘must haves’ and then the ‘would like to haves’ for 2021. This advice could really apply to personal life as well as a way of cutting spending and focusing on what matters most in life instead of the distractions…
At RHI Golf we’re seeing that many projects are being done in multiple steps. For example, some of our clients are ordering bags stands only instead of the range dividers, club cleaners, ball crates, etc. Or maybe all of the signage needs to be updated, but for now the most important thing is to get signs out there so people aren’t riding their rvs or walking their dogs where they potentially could be hit by golf balls, so a partial signage order is placed with the intention that more signs will be ordered in the near future. There are still full range orders being placed and capital funds are being released more and more. But don’t stress if there’s pressure to keep spending to a minimum. So start with the essentials and go from there. Not everything has to be done all at once. Breathe. You got this.

Here’s a look at some of the driving range & course supplies that have been going out our doors lately.

This is the mini-cart that we made for Tributary Club in Driggs, Idaho. Usually we made large carts, but sometimes a little smaller is just right!!

Range Dividers for Lubbock Country Club. We also made bag stands and trash can enclosures for them, but with their tree logo. For the dividers, we wanted to mix it up a little.

These are the clean & simple yardage markers that we made for Soule Park Golf Course in California.

At Champions Retreat we made them 5 sets of tee markers for their course in Georgia. The tee markers are naturally rusted steel with a low-gloss clear coat over the logos’ powder coat. They’re going for a low-key rustic look. Accomplished!!!

We did a few essential signs for Blackstone Country Club.

As states start to re-open, tournaments are going back on the calender (below are a few trophies).

What’s New at RHI Golf

December 20, 2019 by Joy Ball

Hi everyone.  Today’s blog is a look into what’s been going out the doors here at RHI Golf so you can get inspiration..

The Director of Golf at Blackhawk Country Club created these bag stands and ball containers designs and breathed life into his sketches. It’s really great as a client to have that much control over the design and production. It’s the beauty of a custom shop like us.

We made more for their range setup, but this is what I was able to take a photo of before our speedy shipping department crated the order.

Below are the bag stands that we’ve recently made for The Plantation Club and Madison Club.

This is the club cleaner that University of Louisville Athletics had us make.

Here’s 2 different kinds of ball crates that we just made. The ball crates are our answer to the applecrate and t hey work so much better.

We’re happy to have the opportunity to work with Top Golf on their trash can enclosures and benches.

This is the broken tee box that we made for Redrock Country Club.

Our specialty is custom driving range accessories, but we have such a good relationship with our clients that they continuously ask us to also help with tournament awards. Here’s what we’ve made the last couple of weeks.

We also have to share the trail signs that we made this week for Summit Club in Las Vegas (Discovery Land Co. course). These small signs (12″x12″) will look great on their trails and give needed info to those who walk their trails.

Last up are the BEARDOWN tee markers (re-order) that we made for University of Arizona. I love the look of these, don’t you?

Thanks everyone for reading our blog!!

Custom Tournament Awards

April 3, 2019 by Joy Ball

Looking for inspiration for awards for your next tournament? Well, then this blog is for you. We’re all geared up here at RHI for the Spring & Summer trophy season as you seen from the oodles of photos in this post.

As you can tell, we get a lot of unique requests. Rhode Island CC wanted to give out a ‘world series’ themed trophy, so we made this 2′ version.

Desert Highlands did a few different awards for their March tournaments. We also made some of their range accessories earlier in the year. Here’s the awards that they did for their putting championship, couples event and their club championship.

Below is the trophy that Spanish Oaks Golf Club did for their ‘Couple O’Nuts’ tournament and then the shootout award is for their ‘Spanish Revolver’ tournament.

Desert Mountain in Scottsdale Arizona had us make tomahawk trophies for the 3rd year. This year we mixed it up a little and used a new tomahawk. Doesn’t it look nice?

Rest assured, this foot doesn’t smell.. This trophy is for a local client, Spokane Falls Community College.

This trophy is for Redstick Golf Club in Vero Beach, Florida. This trophy had an extensive amount of design time involved and there was a lot of thought put into it by our client.

Then there’s the lamp post award for Carmel Country Club, awards for the charity tournament ‘Mulligans for Maggie’ held at The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards. Also, featured is the wine barrel award for Champions Retreat.

Shootout awards are one of our most popular. Here’s what we did for ‘With Open Eyes’, The Clubs at Cordillera Ranch, and Florida Golf Association.

We had fun with PGA West Private’s superhero theme for the couples tournament!!

The awards turned out beautiful for Wilderness Country Club in Naples, Florida. These are 2 of my favorites from the last 9 years.

Next, our the awards that we did for Blackstone Country Club and Verde River & Social Club.

Then there’s the awards that we did for different clients that had a master’s theme to it.

Lastly are the awards for Squire Creeks’ Azalea tournament, Wendy Novak Diabetes Center plaques, and the horse race awards for Anthem Country Club.

Blog: Tournament Awards & Tee Markers

September 19, 2018 by Joy Ball

Today’s blog post is about the creative designs of tournament awards and tee markers.

The below photo isn’t just any bridge that our designer dreamed up of. What makes this trophy extra special is that this is a recreation of the bridge that connects the second and third hole at Old American Golf Club. The players that see this trophy are going to immediately recognize this landmark.

Pine Canyon Club worked with us on several events.

Palmetto Bluff  Sonnenalp decided to go smaller on the awards, which is great for players who are traveling or who have several awards to display.

Sonnenalp did the same style of trophies for their men and women, but differentiated the awards with colors. The women won teal, and the men won gray.

Spurwing has done this tournament with us for years, but this year they decided to mix it up with a unique design.

Silo Ridge used their landmark (a silo that’s on their property) as their trophy theme.

Greenville Country Club had us make their annual pirate award. Because of Hurricane Florence they’ll be using this award next year.

Next are the awards for Sunset CC, 12 Oaks, and Union League.

Union League used different bases for their separate events to differentiate the awards. It looks nice!

Tournament Tee Markers -First up are the 3D van tee markers that we made for Donnelly Mechanical. These creative markers are going to look amazing for years to come!

We also made tournament markers for Marine Drive in Canada and TSMGI in Illinois.

Blog: Golf Shootout Awards

August 8, 2018 by Joy Ball

Hi. We have several trophy photos to show you today. If you like what you see, make sure to book your tournament date with us  soon. We’re still take October trophy orders.

First up are the golf shootout trophies that we made for Pine Canyon in AZ. We used flat black with wrought iron accents on these along with replica pistol and bullets.

Next, we did the Greens & Streams event for the 3rd year. We worked with Rock Creek Cattle Company to freshen up a couple of the designs.

We also created the ‘Beefsteak’ awards for our client Tuxedo Club, and then made ‘fatbird’ trophies for Nemacolin Woodlands Resort.

Below are is the award that we made for Balsam Mountain Preserve. We first worked with our contact there when he worked at The Cliffs. We love when the pros keep working with us throughout their careers.

Last, for trophies are the shootout trophies that we did for Moonlight Basin. We love these rustic awards!

For tournament cases, we made this for Hermitage Country Club.
